The language used in the book is horrible, professionally speaking. I expected much much more, on top of this it has grammatical errors. Rating: 2 / 5
I had just 2 weeks to pass the exam.Believe me I do have a coding experience but to pass the SCWCD 5 you still need to read the book.I read it twice n cleared exam in first attempt.Do solve the practise exam .This book puts the exact syllabus required for exam in neatly oriented fashion.
I loved this book & will 100% recommend to others.

Charles Lyons has a wonderful style; he deeply understands the topic, and speaks from real experience. He is very thorough, but at the same time keeps the wit, and nice sense of humour throughout the book, which makes the necessary fun when studying hard for such challenging exam, as SCWCD certainly is.

I passed SCWCD 5 with the score 89%. This book is definitely necessary for your certification studying. Although the content of this book is a little bit boring (very few images, full of text, not so easy to understand if you do not have so much fundamental knowledge on JSP and servlet), it is still the best book you must read if you want to pass the exam as soon as possible. I actually have another book to help prepare the test, but finally i recognized that I have to totally digest this book before I take the test.
